GE Small Appliance Line for WalMart The DesigNet partners were contracted by Hamilton Beach to design a series of products for the GE brand, with distribution being exclusive to Wal-Mart. Taylor and Chu's contributions to the eleven product program included the design of an iron, a hand mixer with a storage case and a large contact grill. The designs were to be conscious of the importance of visual integration with existing product lines. An unique aesthetic was developed for the Wal-Mart market and this design language guided the whole product line, while using many existing internal components.
